My challenge is a scrapbook layout Recipe challenge. My Recipe includes:
-More than one photo
-Mixed Media(a little or a lot)
-Sequins
-Doily
-Wood Veneer
I am scrapbooking 2 photos( part of my challenge) of my adorable neice. I began with White Cardstock and an Americana Stencil called Segmented Swirls. I used some of the lovely Shimmerz products I get from the Spiegelmom Scraps Shop. I used the Shimmerz Dazzlers in Coral me Crazy, Dreamscicle and Tutti Frutti with the Americana stencil. That was my bit of mixed media. I love how that turned out. I then layered a beautiful floral sheet of patterned paper from the KaiserCraft Finders Keepers paper pad. I also pulled a few cut aparts from the paper pad. I layered a 6″ Gold Foil Doily as well as a White Lace Paper Doily all behind my photo. For the wood veneer I grabbed large wood veneer letters to spell out my neices name and painted them with the Dreamscicle shimmerz and some orange Dylusions spray mist from my stash. I also pulled a circle with a heart wood veneer from the Shimelle True Stories wood veneer.
As a finishing touch I sprinkled some sequins from the Indian Summer Sequins. I also layered the Indian Summer Sequins, Peachy Sherbet and the Gold Stardust Sequins and spread those around, mainly on my tittle. In the end my layout turned out pretty simple but that background makes it extra special. I also used all the ingredients in my Recipe. I hope you all can play along. Here is my finished layout.
