Sketch N Scrap

Here is the July card sketch and my interpretation. This is actually the first card I have ever made and it was a lot of fun to create. I began with light grey recollections cardstock and cut it down to size. I then used my corner chomper to round the four corners. I used my Teresa Collins Spring Fling Stamp set and pulled the flourish stamp to create the circle of swirls with VersaMark embossing ink. I then heat embossed using three different colors. To create the center piece I used a circle punch to punch the circle in the same light gray cardstock. I then used a small hole puncher to punch around the circle. Finally I used the  Studio G wooden stamp and heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment as well as the two gift boxes which are from the Pink Paislee Sentiment Series stamp set. I hope you will all play along every month. If you link up your project to the Sketch N Scrap blog you will be entered to win a fun prize. There is a different fun prize every month. Be sure to check out the other design Team Members for some awesome inspiration as well. Thank you so much for stopping by and following me. 🙂 🙂

Happy Fourth of July- Scrapbooking Layout- “We’ll be back”

Hello my friends,

I want to wish you all a Happy Fourth of July. I’d love to know how you all celebrate. I, myself am working half a day an then plan on heading over to the beach with my family for some fun & fireworks. Hopefully I’ll have some nice shots to scrapbook. However it is you all celebrate I wish you all a very Happy Day. I also wanted to share a layout I created last night, even though it is not Fourth of July related I still managed to used Fourth of July colors. The photos were taken last year on a trip we took to Las Vegas in April. We had such a wonderful time and even though the sign says Welcome to Las Vegas these pictures were actually taken on our last day there. This was actually the last thing we did before heading to the airport. It will be the last page in my album for my Vegas Vacation. I used the InstaCollage App on my IPhone to create the photo collage and there’s a process video for this layout if you’d like to watch at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUKmd_mpdsQ

Thanks for stopping by & following my blog. Have a safe and fun Holiday. XOXO 🙂 🙂
