Hello Friends! Today I am working with Card Sketch#75 by the very talented Mandy Reedyk for the Sketch N Scrap Blog.
I am using all papers from the Dear Lizzy Documentary 6×6 Paper Pad. I love these soft colors. I matted all of the pieces with black cardstock to really make them pop. I even added a matching arrow ribbon from my stash on the sides. For my sentiment I used a Hero Arts Sentiment set with my black Stazon Ink. I stamped on a white lined piece of velum and backed it with a coral piece of paper from the same paper pad.
As a finishing touch I added some beautiful sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Make sure to check out the Sketch N Scrap blog for tons of inspiration and awesome sketches every month.
Hello Friends! I am back with a fun card sketch for the Sketch N Scrap Design Team.
This is Sketch #73 by Kelly Holifield. I decided to fussy cut some beautiful flowers from the Crate Paper Hello Love Paper Pad. All of the others papers I used were from the same collection. Even the banners on the top left were cut out from a stripe patterned paper from that paper pad. On top of the banners I added a Rhinestone heart with a smaller hear on the inside. That embellishment had been in my stash for a very long time. I didn’t add my sentiment up there. I added it on the bottom right above one of the flowers. I used a Hero Arts stamp set called layered flowers. I simply stamped Hello Beautiful using ColorBox ink in Cherry. This would be perfect as a Mothers Day card which is right around the corner. This was definitely a lot of fun to create.
Thanks so much for stopping by. XOXO -Katty
Hello friends! I am back to share another project for the Sketch N Scrap Design Team. Today I am following an awesome card sketch by one of our very talented sketch artist’s Mandy Reedyk.
For this card I began with a white card base and I chose several patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge Paper pad. Even my sentiment is one of the cut apart sheets from the paper pad. I love this card sketch. This card was very easy to make and I absolutely love how it turned out. Another great sketch from our team.

Katty – You are here 🙂
For today’s project I created a fun Shaker Card. I am in love with the March release sequins and I wanted to use them all. I began with a background scallop cut file which I sized down to 6×6 and cut out on my Silhouette Cameo on white American Crafts Cardstock. I used packaging as my window and created my shaker area with scotch foam mounting tape. I divided the scallops into three sections using the insers from the scallop cut file as a divider. I colored the inserts with the Shimmerz Dazzlers in Lemon Drop and Pucker up Pink. I just used my spatula to rub some of the color onto the cardstock inserts.
I then filled my three shaker areas with the awesome new seqiun mixes. On the top portion I used the Sunny Smiles Sequins . In the middle section I used the Glass Slippers Sequins and in the bottom section I used the Lilac Twinkle Sequins. To finish it off I stamped out the word Hello on velum with a Memento Dew Drop ink pad in Lilac Posies as a simple sentiment.
Thank you so much for spending your time with me today! I’d love for you be in the running for the $10.00 shop credit Jody is giving away on this blog hop, so be sure to leave comments on all the blogs to be entered! Now, you’ll be heading over to _Laura’s_ blog.
Hello friends. This months Card Sketch is Sketch #69 by Kelly Holifield.
I love the this card sketch. I love how there’s room for a longer Sentiment. I decided to use paper from the Crate Paper Hello Love paper pad to create my layers. I backed all my layers with dark grey Recollections cardstock from Michaels. I also used a white doily from my stash.
For my sentiment I used a Hero Arts Stamp set # CL810 called Chalkboard Style Messages.
I stamped one part of the sentiment directly on the patterned paper and the other part on a piece of velum paper. I then finished it of with some black Basic Grey Enamel Dots in various sizes. This card was a lot of fun to put together.
Make sure you join us on the Sketch N Scrap Blog for tons of inspiration and fun sketches every month.

This months first card sketch is #67 by the very talented Mandy Reedyk. The first thing that caught my eye was the vertical design of this sketch. I was also really drawn to the cluster of circles vertically lined up on one side of the card. This design is very pleasing to the eye. I was very excited to create my card.
This sketch was perfect for a Valentines Day Card. For this card I wanted to create a fun, non traditional Valentines Day Card. I began with black recollections cardstock as my base. I used a Momenta Chevron embossing folder to create some texture on the front layer of my card. I then took a scallop circle punch and punched out two circles which I made into shaker pockets. I then filled those pockets with fuchsia and gold sequins. I added a few additional circles that I punched out of black cardstock as well as velum. I brought in some more gold with the Studio Calico Gold Doilies and the chevron circles I punched out of a sheet from a DCVW Gold Foiled Velum 6×6 Pad. I stamped a few hearts in different sizes on the velum paper using Memento Dew Drop Ink pad in Lilac Posies. I used the same ink and a wooden block stamp to stamp my sentiment. I them fussy cut the bigger hearts and my sentiment. For the smaller hearts I used a small heart punch. As a finishing touch I took a white gelly roll pen and a black thin point sharpie pen and created faux stitching lines around the hearts and one of the circles.
I am very happy with how my card turned out. I’m pretty sure that this is the card I will give to my boyfriend this Valentines Day. Make sure you head on over to the Sketch N Scrap Blog for fun Card and Layout Sketches every month. There are also fun giveaways each month and to be entered you simply have to create a layout or card following one of the four sketches provided each month. 🙂

Hello friends, I am very excited to announce that in 2016 I will continue as a part of the Sketch N Scrap Blog Design Team. Sketch N Scrap is a Sketch Blog that provides monthly card and layout sketches free of charge. They even host a monthly challenge, any one that plays along with our sketches and links their project to the blog is entered to win a fun prize. There is one winner per month. My first project for this term is Card Sketch# 65 by Kelly Holifield. This sketch is absolutely adorable. Being from Florida I don’t get to use my Winter themed stickers all that often so this card was perfect to use up an adorable Snowman and Snowflakes from a Sticko Christmas Sticker pack and pretty silver Snowflake Paper which I’ve had in my stash for quite some time. I stamped the Believe Sentiment on two layers of velum which I then snipped the edges of and made into a banner. This card was a lot of fun to make. I hope you will all join us and play along with this months sketches. Be sure to also visit & follow the Sketch N Scrap Facebook Group for up to date information, inspiration and fun sketches. Thanks for stopping by. XOXO -Katty
