Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch #107

Hello friends. I am back with another layout for the Sketch N Scrap Design Team. This week I am following Layout Sketch #107 by Mandy Reedyk.

I decided to scrap 3 recent photos from my older sons 5th grade graduation. I used several patterned papers all from the Jen Hadfield Home Made Collection. Even the Congratulations Banners are from a cut apart sheet from that collection. I layered a few of the papers similar to the sketch and matted my photos on black cardstock and then on some of the polka dot patterned papers. I popped up the center photo on foam tape.

I used a pack of foam stars from Horizon and painted some of them with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Mint and Cherry. As a finishing touch I added some white paint splatter with Dylusions in White Linen.

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #75

Hello Friends! Today I am working with Card Sketch#75 by the very talented Mandy Reedyk for the Sketch N Scrap Blog.

I am using all papers from the Dear Lizzy Documentary 6×6 Paper Pad. I love these soft colors. I matted all of the pieces with black cardstock to really make them pop. I even added a matching arrow ribbon from my stash on the sides. For my sentiment I used a Hero Arts Sentiment set with my black Stazon Ink. I stamped on a white lined piece of velum and backed it with a coral piece of paper from the same paper pad.

As a finishing touch I added some beautiful sequins from Spiegelmom Scraps.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Make sure to check out the Sketch N Scrap blog for tons of inspiration and awesome sketches every month.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch #105

Hello friends. I am back with a Sketch N Scrap Design Team layout. This months awesome sketch it by Kelly Holifield. I chose to Scrapbook two photos of my two kitties. They love to get into trouble. On this day they climbed up on a big tool shed that we have in the yard. They had such a hard time getting down. That is why I chose to tittle my layout Mischievous. They love getting into trouble.

I began with several patterned paper from the Dear Lizzy Documentary Collection. I am trying to kill this collection. The sketch calls for three vertical patterned paper strips in the back. I used four and even added a branding strip to the right. I matted my two photos on black and teal cardstock from my stash. To recreate those big flowers I used a Heidi Swapp Flower Stencil and some Heidi Swapp art screen ink in White. I also added a fuchsia sequin to the center of each flower. The sequins are from the Fairy tale Mix from Spiegelmom Scraps. I also punched out two Monarch butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch.

For my tittle area I used a piece of patterned paper from the same collection and added my tittle using some fuchsia letter stickers from Colorbok.

Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #73

Hello Friends! I am back with a fun card sketch for the Sketch N Scrap Design Team. FullSizeRender-55

This is Sketch #73 by Kelly Holifield. I  decided to fussy cut some beautiful flowers from the Crate Paper Hello Love Paper Pad. All of the others papers I used were from the same collection. Even the banners on the top left were cut out from a stripe patterned paper from that paper pad. On top of the banners I added a Rhinestone heart with a smaller hear on the inside. That embellishment had been in my stash for a very long time.  I didn’t add my sentiment up there. I added it on the  bottom  right above one of the flowers. I used a Hero Arts stamp set called layered flowers. I simply stamped Hello Beautiful using ColorBox ink in Cherry. This would be perfect as a Mothers Day card which is right around the corner. This was definitely a lot of fun to create.

Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch #103

Hello friends! I am back with another project for the Sketch N Scrap Design Team. The sketch I am following today is Sketch # 103 by Mandy Reedyk. I love using three photos on this layout. It is a great sketch.

I decided to scrap three photos from a Lego Festival I took my boys to in December of 2014. All of the papers I used with the exception of the red one that I punched out circles with are from the Maggie Holmes Shine Collection. The red piece was in my scraps.

Foe my tittle I cut out the numbers from a sheet of paper from the Maggie Holmes collection and the red thickers are called Oakleaf by Thickers. I also brought in a few chipboard circles which are in a chipboard pack by MAMBI called Mambi Sticks.

For this card I began with a white card base and  I chose several patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Bella Rouge Paper pad. Even my sentiment is one of the cut apart sheets from the paper pad. Sketch N Scrap Throwback Thursday

Hello friends! This week I am hosting the Throwback Thursday Sketch Challenge over on the Sketch N Scrap Blog as we continue to celebrate our 100th Sketch with weekly challenges . I chose this sketch #63 by Kelly Holifield. It’s from August 2014.

This is a great sketch! This sketch is from way before I joined the team so it was a lot of fun to be able to use it. I decided to scrap 3 pictures of me and my boys from a Disney Cruise we went on a few years ago, this was our very first cruise so it was an important one. I am almost done scrapping this trip so it was great to get a few more pictures on a page.

I decided to use papers from the Crate Paper DIY Shop and embellishments from the Simple Stories Say Cheese Collection. I did mat my photos and the majority of the patterned papers on black cardstock. The two collections went together beautifully.

This is an awesome sketch and I hope you will come join us over at the Sketch N Scrap Blog and play along with the awesome sketches we have this month. There will be a winner chosen at the end of the month. You can’t win if you don’t play along. Here is my finished layout.

Thanks for spending some time with me today. XOXO- Katty
