Hello friends! Thanks for skipping along with us today! You should have arrived here from Laura’s Blog. Don’t you just love her style? She’s so very talented. We are so excited to be creating with Crafty Jen this month and just adore her cut files. Take a look at the two beautiful cut files I used today. Both available in Jen’s Shop.
Here’s today’s line up! If you get lost while your skipping along today just come back here and click over to the next blog in the line up. We hope you enjoy the inspiration!
Katty- You are here 🙂
For today’s project I created a 12X12 layout. I began with Jen’s beautiful Scribble Floral Background. I used my silhouette cameo to cut it out. I then took my inexpensive Michaels watercolors and painted the flowers in the pink and purple tones. I colored the leaves in two green tones. As that was drying, I grabbed a 12×12 white sheet of cardstock. I used an Americana stencil with tiny hexagons on it and my new favorite Shimmerz Dazzlers in Lemon Drop from the Spiegelmom Scraps Shop. I created a simple background for my beautiful floral cut file to sit on. I then chose a picture of my adorable niece when she was one month old. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Notes & Things 6×6 paper pad and used that as a simple mat my for my photo. I nestled the photo into the cut file on the lower left hand side.
I scattered some of the beautiful Spiegelmom Scraps Pink Lagoon Sequins in the center of some of the cut file flowers. I used American Crafts Dazzle Cork Thickers for my tittle. as a finishing touch I used Jen’s super cute Flowers and Flutters Cut File. I used two of the adorable butterflies and I painted them with Heidi Swapp color shine in Butter. On top of the bigger butterflies I layered the Flutter Cork Butterflies from the Spiegelmom Scraps Shop. I also backed them with some purple cardstock.
There is a process video on my You Tube channel if you’d like to watch: https://youtu.be/EMPOvcafiA4
